DAY 01: CUSCO – SENQA MOUNTAIN – QORICOCHA LAKE

Our team will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and take a short 15-minute drive to our private ranch. Upon arrival, you’ll meet your horses and receive a brief riding lesson to ensure you feel comfortable and confident before starting the journey.

Once everyone is ready, we begin our horseback ride toward Senqa Mountain, an ancient sacred mountain of the Cusco region. Riding through stunning Andean landscapes, we’ll reach the mountain around 1:00 pm, where we’ll stop to enjoy a box lunch surrounded by breathtaking mountain views and peaceful nature.

After lunch, we continue riding to Qoricocha Lake, located at over 4,000 meters (13,100 ft) above sea level. This beautiful high-altitude lake offers a unique and tranquil setting to relax and connect with nature. Near the lake, we’ll set up camp and enjoy a well-deserved rest in preparation for the next day’s adventure.

Approx. 6 hours of horseback riding
Overnight camping
Optional overnight stay with local families

DAY 02: QORICOCHA – PUCAMARCA – HUCHUY QOSQO – LAMAY – CUSCO

After breakfast, we ride from Qoricocha to Pucamarca (approximately 2 hours on horseback). In Pucamarca, we leave the horses and begin a 1-hour hike along an ancient Inca trail, leading us to the impressive archaeological site of Huchuy Qosqo.

At Huchuy Qosqo, you’ll have time to explore the ruins, admire panoramic views of the Sacred Valley, and take part in a traditional Andean ritual (Q’intu) to honor the Andean gods-an authentic cultural experience.

We then hike downhill to the town of Lamay, where we’ll visit one of the area’s best traditional restaurants for a delicious local lunch. After lunch, we board our private van for the return journey to Cusco, arriving at approximately 5:00 pm.
