Itinerary
Brief Description
Your adventure begins at 9:00 am, when we pick you up directly from your hotel or Airbnb. From there, we drive to the archaeological site of Qenqo, an important ceremonial center dedicated to the Pachamama (Mother Earth) and the sacred Puma. Here, your guide will introduce you to the spiritual importance of this fascinating place.
After visiting Qenqo, we continue to the ranch, where you will meet the horses and receive a short introduction from our guide. During this briefing, you will learn basic riding techniques, how to control the horses safely, and important tips to fully enjoy the experience — perfect even for beginners.
Once ready, we begin our horseback ride toward the Temple of the Moon, an ancient Inca sanctuary associated with fertility rituals and Mother Earth worship. Along the trail, you will ride through beautiful mountains, peaceful eucalyptus forests, and scenic Andean paths until reaching the traditional community of Huayllarcocha. From this privileged viewpoint, you will admire the impressive mountains and sacred Apus that surround the city of Cusco.
After enjoying the landscapes, we return to the ranch and continue by car to visit the archaeological sites of Tambomachay and Puca Pucara. Together with our expert guide, you will explore the history, mysteries, and importance of these remarkable Inca constructions.
Following the cultural visit, we reunite with the horses to enjoy a delicious lunch surrounded by nature and the peaceful atmosphere of the ranch.
In the afternoon, we saddle up once again and ride toward Chacan, also known as the “Devil’s Balcony,” an ancient Inca temple hidden among dramatic rock formations and natural caves. After exploring this incredible site, we ride back to the ranch for the final part of the journey.
To finish the experience, we drive to Sacsayhuamán, the most impressive and important archaeological site near Cusco. With your guide, you will discover the mysteries behind this monumental place and learn why historians still debate whether it was a fortress, a ceremonial temple, or both.
